The lovely narrations are displayed with colorful illustrations that bring to life the Biblical stories told in the (first five) books of the Bible for your youngsters. From small children to adults, everyone will enjoy studying the Bible with help from this DVD and activity book. “This product is a DVD and a book. The DVD covers the first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. Essentially, it goes through each chapter and verse and shows a series of pictures and clipart to illustrate the narrative. The narrative is almost entirely scripture with the narrator adding a few other explanations here and there. The extra is kept to a minimum. The DVD says it is for ages 7 through adult, but our 4 year olds liked it. And it truly can be for adults because I enjoyed it. The book has activity pages that go along with the narrative. The book is 5” x 7-1/2”.
I thought this was an absolutely inspired way to present the Bible to people. I expected a cartoon with dialogue that “dumbed down” the message. What I got was the scripture in its entirety presented in an interesting format that held my attention as well as the attention of the children. I am all in with playing scripture tapes for the kids as background sound, but this is much better. This gives them something to watch that they enjoy and they don’t even know they’re learning something. They are just feeling entertained. Win – Win!
I highly recommend this to all homeschoolers, grandparents, parents, Sunday School teachers, church nurseries, etc. This is a wonderful way to get that Word into our hearts. I’m sure we will repeat it every year in our homeschooling.”
